Two new PSI-MOS fiberoptic media converters from Phoenix Contact feature conformal-coated printed circuit boards. Designed primarily for use in shipbuilding and marine industries that commonly use the Profibus protocol, the devices are coated for protection in saltwater environments and from moisture, dust, and corrosives commonly found in industry. All of the company’s copper-to-fiberoptic media have also been approved for use in UL Class 1, Div. 2, hazardous locations such as those in petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, and water / wastewater industries.
