Fisher-Rosemount is changing its name to Emerson Process Management to reflect its expansion into industry-specific engineering, consulting, and project management services. Its expanded services and solutions complement Fisher-Rosemount's products, technologies, and automation architecture.

The new name and adoption of a new logo also reinforce the company's link to its parent, St. Louis-based Emerson. This link supports a corporate-wide branding strategy launched by Emerson in December 2000.

Fisher-Rosemount's product brands include Fisher, Micro Motion, Rosemount, and Westinghouse, as well as PlantWeb field-based architecture. "These core brands will continue to serve as a mainstay of our product and technology offerings," said John Berra, executive vice president of Emerson.

The range of products and services includes:

  • Products for measurement, analysis, and final control

  • Control systems and asset management software

  • Integrated automation solutions

  • Automation contracting, including consulting, process and IT engineering, commissioning, project management, and optimization

  • vMaintenance and asset utilization services.

    • The company will center its business on the local representative and direct-sales channels. Industry and services resources have been added to help deliver tailored process management solutions.

      As part of the Emerson branding initiative announced last December, Emerson Process Management's new corporate identity will be tied closely to other Emerson businesses.
