Fixed field sensors with background suppression provide more reliable detection

Banner Engineering World-Beam Q20FF fixed-field background suppression sensor delivers enhanced sensing capabilities with fixed field background suppression.

Banner Engineering Corporation’s World-Beam Q20FF fixed-field background suppression sensor adds to the company’s line of compact photoelectric sensors. Offering high performance standards, the Q20FF delivers enhanced sensing capabilities with visible red, fixed field background suppression and a sensing range up to 6 inches (150 mm). With the Q20FF, Banner’s Q20 sensor series can solve an increased number of sensing applications in a variety of industries, such as material handling, robot assembly, food and beverage and pharmaceutical goods.

“With the addition of the visible red fixed field background suppression models, Banner has expanded the number of applications the Q20 series can solve,” said Dennis Smith, Technical Marketing Manager at Banner Engineering. “The high performance optical design of the fixed field Q20 series is evident in the small emitter beam and well focused optics, providing an increased sensing range and greater immunity to objects beyond the fixed detection range. Combined with electronic immunity to fluorescent light sources, the Q20 fixed field sensors will result in more reliable and stable detection in all applications.”

The World-Beam Q20 series offers a complete product line of high performance sensors in rectangular housings. The Q20FF adds to this growing series, providing superior optical performance in a world-wide standard sensor housing with 25.4 mm (1 inch) mounting hole spacing. Models are available with 2, 4, or 6 inch sensing ranges.

Additional key features of the compact World-Beam Q20FF include IP67/NEMA 6 & NEMA PW12 1200 PSI washdown rate, metallic M8 and M12 connectors on “QD” models with a threaded connection to the cord-set.
