North Billerica, Mass. – Flir Systems Inc. introduced ThermaCAM Researcher 2001, a new version of its real-time thermal analysis software which digitally stores, retrieves, and analyzes live infrared images directly from ThermaCAM SC Series IR cameras.

ThermaCAM Researcher 2001 offers measurement functions including: isotherms, spot measurements, line profiles, and area histograms. Researcher allows users to customize its analysis capabilities and create and apply user-defined formulas to analysis results. A flexible screen layout, automatic image adjustments, user-defined recording conditions, variable images replay rates, sequence editing, image subtraction, customizable measurement tool graphics, comprehensive result tables, and OLE technology, provide flexibility and power. Images can be saved in a Flir Public Format (.fpf) which provides an open interface for user-customizable applications.

The Researcher 2001 is available in three configurations:

Researcher ST for analyzing static images stored in the IR camera’s PC Card

Researcher RT for capturing and analyzing real-time IR video image sequences

Researcher HS for evaluating high speed digital IR data.

Infrared camera systems support applications in research and development, non-destructive testing, manufacturing process control, predictive maintenance/condition monitoring, and public safety.
