Marshalltown, Ia. - The FloBoss 103 Flow manager from Emerson Process Management is a flow computer for natural gas flow measurement. The device eliminates off-chart gas flow problems inherent with chart recorders. The result is less lost and unaccounted for gas, which translates into more revenue for the user. Static and differential pressures are measured to a reference accuracy of up to

Very low power consumption allows the FloBoss 103 to be self-contained for typical Class I, Div. 1 metering applications. Its built-in rechargeable battery pack will keep the unit operating for one month without recharging, permitting data to be retrieved by the host once each day. More frequent retrieval is possible with an external 2.5-Watt solar panel.

The device offers PID loop control, logic and sequencing control, optional 4-channels of I/O connections, and an optional port of EIA-232 and dial-up communications. Users have a choice of native ROC or Modbus protocols for added flexibility when interfacing to a host or network.
