Flowmeter: Vortex design replaceable without shutting down flow
No leak path design simplifies maintenance, resists contamination.
The PhD in-line vortex shedding flowmeter family from Emco Flow Systems is designed for accuracy, reliability, and low-cost maintenance.
The company says the design has no leak path, which means the sensor can be replaced in the field without having to depressurize or shut down the line, plus the isolated sensor is protected from contamination.
The Vortex PhD flow meter series includes sizes from 1 to 12 inches (25 to 300 mm) and can measure liquid, gas, and steam. Optional pressure and temperature transducers paired with a flow computer can be used for mass, BTU, and energy monitoring.
Emco Flow Systems is a division of Spirax Sarco Inc. and manufactures a broad line of insertion vortex, in-line vortex, insertion turbine, ultrasonic Doppler, ultrasonic transit time, and electromagnetic flow meters for liquid, gas and steam applications.
