Users can save up to 25% over traditionally designed electrical panels on combined material and labor costs by using Proclip and Prolight modular electrical panel frame and wire management systems from Satie.

Invented by Gino Faccin and Yves Paris, French electrical engineers with more than 45 years of combined electrical industry experience designing and wiring electrical control panels, the system is designed to help original equipment manufacturers (OEM), machine builders, system integrators, panel builders, switchgear manufacturers and others to shrink space requirements, cut material costs, increase productivity and reduce weight, with a more intelligent electrical enclosure design.

 

The patented Proclip system is designed for use in medium to large enclosures while the Prolight system is suited for small to medium enclosures with a shallow depth. Both systems can be mounted in any type of metallic or non-metallic industrial, modular, electronic/IT, or power distribution enclosure.

Satie says the systems allow users to shrink enclosure, floor, and surface space requirements by 25% to 50% while providing a reserve for future system expansion, upgrades or retrofits. Proclip and Prolight systems are made of high-strength, lightweight, extruded aluminum, and meet or exceed the DIN 50018 corrosion standard. They also are CSA approved (C22.2 No.14-05 and C22.2 No. 0-M91), and UL Recognized (UL 508A - NITW2).

The systems accommodate any size or type of electrical component, even non-electrical components like pneumatic directional control valve manifolds. Slotted panel profiles provide fast and easy component attachment using slide nuts and bolts, and profiles with integrated TS35/10 DIN rails for snap-on component attachment, the company says. A snap-in or bolt-on TS35/15 DIN rail is also available for those applications that require a taller profile or a 45-degree offset DIN rail for easier component accessibility.
Varied sizes and configurations are possible, in various increments. Satie provides customers with preassembled panel frames. That reduces component-to-panel assembly time by 80% - 90% with elimination of panel layout/tracing; punching, drilling or tapping holes; and cutting of DIN rail and wire duct.

 

 

Electrical systems designers can send a CAD drawing or hand-sketched diagram of a current or needed panel and within 24 hours Satie engineers will analyze the panel, conduct a takeoff and provide a Proclip or Prolight panel schematic and cost comparison. Assembled Proclip or Prolight panels are manufactured and shipped within 2 days of receiving a purchase order. Cost comparison is free of charge.
