Frequency inverters receive output frequency upgrades
Yaskawa upgraded the V1000 and A1000 frequency inverters up to 1000 Hz to allow them to work with high-speed applications.
The Yaskawa A1000 and V1000 frequency inverters are available in variants with output frequencies of up to 1000 Hz, making them suitable for applications with high speeds. Examples include main spindles for wood processing machines and CNC processing centers, drives for turbo pumps and compressors.
Both inverter series are available for 230 V or 400 V mains voltage operation with nominal power ratings of 0.4 to 110 kW or 0.4 to 160 kW for the A1000 inverter and 0.1 to 3.0 kW or 0.1 to 15 kW for the V1000 inverter.
As a matter of course, all equipment variants for 1000 Hz output frequency are reportedly equipped with the same functions and features as the previous frequency inverters of the same series. This includes several multifunctional inputs and outputs that can provide simple PLC functions. The units also feature an integrated STO (Safe Torque Off) function. Series A1000 functions can be used in conjunction with permanent magnet motors without rotational speed feedback for particularly efficient and energy-saving drives. The intuitive "DriveWizardPlus" operating and parameterization software for PCs streamlines and simplifies inverter commissioning and parameterization for specific applications. Using the "DriveWorksEZ" programming software which focuses on functional blocks, users can generate application-specific functions with just a few mouse clicks. There are hardly any limits to the frequency inverter's application flexibility.
The units can apparently be integrated into almost any application environment using the CC-Link, ProfiBus and CANopen fieldbus interfaces. Yaskawa is in the process of creating Ethernet and EtherCAT interfaces for simple integration into comprehensive communication networks.
Yaskawa is reportedly producing all variants of the A1000 and V1000 inverters with 1000 Hz output frequency.
