Lake Forest, CA – General Monitors recently introduced the G20 and G40 portable gas detectors designed for personal safety monitoring of up to four toxic gases in confined spaces. Using a rugged, compact design and featuring full-sized electrochemical cells, the G-series can simultaneously monitor for oxygen deficiency and the presence of combustible gases. Designed to meet IP65 standards, both units are approved for damp and dusty environments and include a 10-hour (minimum) NiMH battery as standard. A large hand-held or belt-mounted LCD display, capable of flipping 180 degrees, makes reading easy, even in spaces where personal maneuverability is limited. Hazardous condition warning is provided by a 90-decibel audible alarm, flashing LED, and flashing LCD display. Using the G-Series datalogger features, about 110 hours of personnel exposure data can be downloaded to a personal computer.
