Divelbiss’ HEC-Gateway Controller is a harsh environment enhanced communications controller capable of translating between various industrial bus protocols and cloud communications. The HEC-Gateway is designed to translate different serial bus protocols, data logging, and add Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity to existing systems. The HEC-Gateway has a sealed enclosure and a power voltage range from 9 to 32VDC. It also has an operating temperature range of -40 to +80 C for extreme environmental operations.

The HEC-Gateway features two RS232 serial ports that support Modbus RTU/ASCII protocols as either a master or a slave device. It is also programmable via the structured text programming language, which allows custom protocols to be implemented. This makes the HEC-Gateway useful for communicating to bar code scanners, RFID readers, and other serial devices. Wi-Fi connectivity can be used for Modbus TCP Server and Client communications, as well as IoT communications. It also has two 12-bit resolution analog inputs that are independently configurable as 0 to 5VDC, 0 to 10VDC or 0 to 20mADC.
