Ground fault circuit interrupters, Ethernet safety software on display
Molex's Woodhead Super-Safeway and Safeway Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters (GFCIs) and Brad Ethernet/IP and CIP (Common Industrial Protocol) Safety Software Development Kits are designed to provide safety and flexibility for workers.
Molex's Woodhead Super-Safeway and Safeway Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters (GFCIs) and Brad Ethernet/IP and CIP (Common Industrial Protocol) Safety Software Development Kits are on display at Automation Fair 2014 in Anaheim, Calif.
The Woodhead GFCIs are available in both permanent-mount and portable versions and are designed to provide secure ground-fault protection wherever and whenever personnel and equipment are at risk. The Woodhead GFCIs are available with automatic or manual reset functions. The automatic reset presents power immediately once power is restored while the manual reset unit prevents power from resuming until personnel and systems are safe and secure as verified by depressing the reset button. The Woodhead GFCIs devices are also double insulated for added protection.
Single-phase devices are rated for 120V through 240V AC at 15A, 20A and 30A. Multi-phase devices are rated for 120/240 Split-phase; 240 3-Ph; 208 3-Ph; and 120/208 3-Ph at 30.0A. The devices have NEMA 4X and 6P ratings, which deliver a GFCI-compliant product for virtually any application. LED indicators provide visual confirmation of operating status from a distance and they feature impact-resistant nylon housings and chemical UV-resistant coatings protect the GFCIs from damage due to vibration, sunlight, oil, and chemicals.
The Brad EtherNet/IP and CIP (Common Industrial Protocol) Safety Software Development Kits are designed to offer reliable master and slave protocol implementations, without hardware or operating system dependencies. Featuring a low memory footprint, the stacks enable cost-effective, integrated automation programming.
Performance tested by ODVA and approved by TUV to meet IEC 61508 for up to SIL3 applications, Brad CIP Safety Software Stacks are a set of highly integrated safety services using pretested modular ANSI C-code and leveraging standard CIP networks to transport data from a source to a destination. Completely hardware independent to support real-time or not operating systems, the software allows industrial device manufacturers to embed CIP safety stack technology quickly using standard compilers.
