Atlanta, Ga.— Simatic Outdoor is an extension of the developer’s S7-300 PLC product family specifically designed for harsh plant environments or outdoor installations. The family includes a variety of CPU’s, I/O modules, interface modules, and Simatic ET200M distributed I/O modules with enhanced specifications for operation in temperatures ranging from 25 to 60° C. The new product line is intended for sewage treatment plants, refrigerated food industry warehouses, guidance systems, and a variety of similar harsh environment applications.
