High Performance Building Conference
The annual conference, scheduled for March 2012 in California, is designed to help promote energy savings for building design and architecture.
The 2012 High Performance Buildings Conference will take place March 12-13 in San Diego Mission Valley, Calif. The purpose of the meeting is for government agencies and individuals to discuss methods and ideas on how to improve energy efficiency, renewable applications, and operating practices for both the present and the future.
The conference itself will be divided into a technical track with an emphasis on strategies for saving energy and a policy track with an emphasis on updates and forecasts for legislative and government action.
Proposals for abstracts of 300 to 500 words are being accepted until July 15, 2011, on a number of subjects, including:
- Applications results
- Energy audits
- Commissioning
- Benchmarking of utility consumption
- Economics, design and construction
- Energy efficiency strategies:
- Building envelopes
- Lighting and daylighting
- Passive HVAC
- Plug loads
