New Providence, N.J.— Aromat Corp.’s new series of Universal Serial Bus (USB) connectors comprise highly stress-resistant and stable receptacles as well as a variety of plugs and cables. The connectors consist of one standardized plug and port combination to simplify hooking up peripherals—such as printers, notebook PCs, keyboards, scanners, and other such equipment—that operate at speeds of 10 MB per second and under. Receptacles have been constructed with a formed shield and a special molded portion designed to prevent twisting forces from disrupting connection. The connectors come in two series: Series A is used for personal computers and USB hubs; Series B is used for peripheral units. Cable assemblies are also available. Aromat Corp.
