LTC3835 very low quiescent current step-down dc/dc synchronous controller from Linear Technology draws just 80ìA in sleep mode, preserving battery energy in applications, such as automotive navigation or battery-powered monitoring devices where the system remains semi-active when the engine or power is off. Input supply range of 4 to 36 V protects against high-input voltage transients and continues to operate during a cold crank condition. Controller comes in two versions. LTC3835 offers PolyPhase operation for current sharing multiple ICs for delivery of higher output current. It is offered in 20-lead TSSOP and 4 x 5 mm QFN packages. LTC3835-1 is housed in a smaller 16-pin SSOP and 5 x 3 mm QFN packages.

Case Study Database

Get more exposure for your case study by uploading it to the Control Engineering case study database, where end-users can identify relevant solutions and explore what the experts are doing to effectively implement a variety of technology and productivity related projects.

These case studies provide examples of how knowledgeable solution providers have used technology, processes and people to create effective and successful implementations in real-world situations. Case studies can be completed by filling out a simple online form where you can outline the project title, abstract, and full story in 1500 words or less; upload photos, videos and a logo.
