The product comes with or without four red LEDs that offer edge highlighting on the periphery of the jog dial. Existing devices use capacitance technology, but Omron’s disk jog rotational feature uses two Hall Effect IC sensors, combining them with five tactile switch points.
It is suitable for use in handheld instrumentation and test equipment, human-machine interfaces, personal digital assistants (PDAs), handheld global positioning system (GPS), MP3 players, cell phones, digital cameras, and handheld games.
Manufacturers suggested retail price (MSRP) for the B5V-1422-D01-L4 with four red LEDs is $8.16 when purchased in lots of 800 pieces. MSRP for the B5V-1422-D01-L0 without LEDs is $7.75 for the same quantity. Omron Electronic Components
