EZAutomation announces its EZDurapanel, its newest touch panel HMI series of operator interfaces. The EZDurapanel line features white LED backlighting that can last up to four times longer than previous models due to the 100,000 hour life of the LED bulbs. The HMI, which comes in 6-, 8-, 10- and 15-in. sizes, uses white LED technology to replace CCFL bulbs, resulting in much lower power consumption (10-20%, depending on the model).

Panel features include a 0.09-in.-thick touchscreen, fast touchscreen response time, and higher temperature specifications (to 55 °C) than former EZ touchscreen HMIs. Software features include instant mouse-over colors, animation objects, project simulation, bitmap buttons, and detailed database management and syntax checking.
The EZ Durapanel is supplied with drivers for many PLC models, including those from Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley, AutomationDirect, GE Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens, Square D and more. The units are also available with a variety of network drivers, including DeviceNet, Profibus-DP, and Ethernet PLC networks.
