Honeywell buying Zellweger Analytics

To enter the large and growing hazardous gas detection market, Honeywell International reports that it plans to buy Zellweger Analytics. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval, and is expected to close in 2005's second quarter. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

To enter the large and growing hazardous gas detection market, Honeywell International reports that it plans to buy Zellweger Analytics. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval, and is expected to close in 2005's second quarter. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. After the deal closes, Zellweger will become part of the Life Safety business unit within Honeywell Automation and Control Solutions.

 

With annual sales of approximately $170 million, Zellweger manufactures toxic- and flammable-gas detection systems. The company has nearly 40 years experience in designing and manufacturing innovative gas detection products for use in semiconductor, industrial, and oil and gas industries. Its products help ensure the safety of employees, protect high-value assets, and prevent costly plant shutdowns. Zellweger has offices throughout Europe, Asia-Pacific and the U.S.
