Honeywell, Compaq agree on global services

Honeywell Industrial Automation and Control (IAC) and Compaq Computer Corp. (Houston, Tex.) recently signed a multi-year, global services agreement that expands their relationship to an estimated $20 million per year. Honeywell will become a preferred authorized warranty service provider (ASWP) for Compaq in the process and manufacturing industries, and will deliver desktop, software, helpdesk, and support services to Compaq products to Honeywell customers worldwide. In turn, Compaq will augment Honeywell’s services and support with technical and parts support for Compaq products, international help desk support for more than 200 software applications, and desktop lifecycle services including hardware and software support.
