The Industrial Automation Group of Advantech introduces a powerful integrated collection of automation tools that includes building blocks required to develop modern Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA) applications that run on 32-bit and 64-bit Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, server editions, and CE.NET or in an inter/intranet environment.

The software includes Rapid Application Configuration Environment (RACE), an interface that was specifically designed to create an easy to use SCADA application development environment.  Graphics include customizable color palettes and pattern fill options for trends. There is also a graphic feature that supports dynamic rotation of bitmap images to create lifelike animated displays.

Advantech Studio Demo, Curtesy: AdvantechRobust native security supports Microsoft Active Directory using standard LDAP protocol and offers security synchronization between multiple IWS workstations. In addition, intellectual property protection is included so that machine builders and integrators can protect their corporate custom functionality.

Advantech Studio 7.0 supports OPC UA, OPC .NET, and OPC DA and even OPC XML (with an add-on license) in addition to bundling in nearly 250 drivers that communicate with PLCs and controllers from all major manufacturers. Software features include online and historical alarms and trending; recipes, reports and advances features like patented SQL database connectivity, web publishing, email, and PDF publishing. A powerful one-click multi-language translation feature allows users to read their application in their native language.

Advantech Studio 7.0 is available with a wide variety of tag count and client seat options. This allows users to take advantage of the scalability of this SCADA software. Customers using Microsoft Windows, Embedded, or Windows CE can develop their application on any supported Microsoft operating system and deploy it anywhere, while users on Microsoft Windows 7 or Windows Server editions can use Advantech to develop complex SCADA projects to run on desktops or servers.
