Courtesy: General Tools and InstrumentsThe HVAC Meter Kit (KHV57030) and HVAC DMM Kit (KHVP57068) from General Tools and Instruments are ideal for contractors and technicians who routinely measure surface temperature and electrical parameters. The HVAC Meter Kit (KHV57030) includes General's new Rugged TRMS Multimeter with NCV Detection (DMM570) and new 30:1 Ultra Wide-Range IR Thermometer with K Port (IRT730K). The HVAC DMM Kit (KHVP57068) includes the DMM570 and combines it with General's Auto Ranging ac/dc TRMS 400 Amp Clamp Meter (DAMP68). The DAMP68 offers 11 functions over 34 ranges. It measures ac/dc voltage and current, resistance, capacitance, and frequency, and can check continuity and diode integrity. The DAMP68's clamp jaw has a 1.48 in. opening. It can operate in auto or manual ranging mode and has a rugged rubber housing. All readings are displayed on a backlit 3¾-digit (4,000-count) LCD with two digital readouts and a fast-response analog bar graph.
