The new ultrasonic hybrid flowmeter from Cole-Parmer

Cole-Parmer says the meter uses the latest advancements in digital signal processing (DSP), cross-correlation signal analysis, and a proprietary goodness-of-measurement algorithm to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.

The new ultrasonic hybrid flowmeter from Cole-Parmer operates by either Doppler or transit time method, making the unit suitable for any fluid capable of conducting sound waves, and allowing the user to choose the best technology for a specific application.
The company says the meter uses the latest advancements in digital signal processing (DSP), cross-correlation signal analysis, and a proprietary goodness-of-measurement algorithm to ensure accurate and reliable measurements. It is available in three different models: local display and full configuration; local display but no configuration; and no display or configuration capabilities.
All models feature RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet, and USB real-time communication connections. The transmitter also has a 500,000 event data logging capability and can write to a removable SD 32 MB memory card. The transducer mounts on the outside of the pipe, so there is no internal obstruction, allowing use with clean and dirty fluids without causing leaks or pressure losses.
