AP-57 counter flow probe is used with the company’s H2000 hydrogen leak detector when tracer gas is needed to locate leaks in enclosed spaced such as pneumatic cabinets, engine rooms, airplanes, or boats. Specially designed handheld probe helps locate leaks that are out of sight or in confined spaces. Device lets the operator activate a counter flow to minimize background effects. It emits a signal when the tip of the probe is placed in front of a leak. A pump purges the probe in the handle with fresh air through a cable to create a small zone of clean air in front of the sensor. Gas in the background cannot enter the clean zone, but gas from the leak can.
