They are designed to withstand numerous bending cycles and resist higher mechanical impact and crushing forces. The cable design incorporates a corrugated, welded, flexible armor that is jacketed with a low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) material with a -53 C low temperature brittleness point. The finished cables are approved as Type MC per UL 1569 and Type MC-HL per UL 2225, and are suitable for National Electric Code (NEC) Article 501, 502, 503, 505, or 506 applications. DekaFlex instrumentation or control cables are available in various conductor sizes from 18 to 10 gauge (AWG), 7-stranded, Class B, in either bare or tinned copper. DekaFlex can be designed in various configurations and constructions to meet other standards. DekaFlex armor can be applied over most cable cores, including fiber optic cables, fieldbus cables, or specialty communications cables.
