Courtesy: KontronThe Kontron Industrial Silent Server (KISS) 1U Short KTQM67 is a rackmount server, developed for high-availability applications with long product lifecycles. The Kontron KISS 1U Short KTQM67 is also equipped with a range of interfaces and customer-specific extension options suitable for the industrial environment.

With integrated Intel HD Graphics with DirectX10.1 and OpenGL 3.0 support, the new Kontron industrial rackmount server KISS 1U Short KTQM67 offers the 2D and 3D graphics performance equivalent to dedicated graphics cards. Even multi-screen applications with simultaneous display of two different HD video streams or innovative 3D applications can run without having to add additional components. With 2x DisplayPort, 1x DVI and LVDS, the new Kontron KISS 1U Short KTQM67 supports industry-relevant monitor standards without additional adapters and costs.

The industrial rackmount server is suitable for demanding application areas such as industrial automation, process control, transportation and building automation. With its quiet operation (approximately 35 dBA) the industrial rackmount server is also suitable for applications in noise-sensitive working environments i.e. control rooms, professional A/V equipment or CAD, QS and video surveillance systems. Furthermore, the integrated Intel Turbo Boost technology 2.0 and Intel Advanced Vector Extensions (Intel AVX) allow applications to benefit from faster floating point operations and vectorial calculations at lowered power consumption. These features also make the server a well-suited fit for image processing in medical technology or for radar and sonar systems.
