Industry experts, customers brought together at Grainger’s Customer Show

Grainger hosted a record number of attendees at its annual Customer Show in Orlando this week. The event brought together customers, manufacturers and Grainger employees to discuss trends in the industries.

This week, Grainger, a broad line distributor of facilities maintenance products, hosted a record number of attendees at its annual Customer Show in Orlando. Scheduled through March 4, the event brings together more than 4,000 invited customers, 2,000 manufacturers and 3,000 Grainger employees from across the country to discuss trends in industries like manufacturing, healthcare and hospitality as well as strategies that help businesses of any size improve productivity. The event also features seminars hosted by third party experts and gives customers the opportunity to receive accredited training on topics such as safety and sustainability.

"Companies are looking to trim costs in new ways to improve their bottom line," said Mike Pulick, President of Grainger’s U.S. Business. "This show is one of the ways Grainger invests in our customers by providing resources and expertise to help them be more efficient as they keep their workplaces safe, efficient, and functioning."

The 2011 event includes an expanded trade show, with more than 450 supplier booths as well as two full days of activity. Highlights of the trade show include:

  • Grainger’s Online SafetyManager Launch - This new tool helps businesses create and self-manage their safety program easily and effectively to maintain regulatory compliance, reduce the risk of fines, improve facility safety, reduce accident and injury rates and decrease operating costs such as worker compensation, litigation and lost productivity.   • Inventory Management enhancements - Grainger now offers an expanded variety of inventory management services to help businesses identify and improve their process for procuring maintenance, repair and operating products.
