Industrial Application Server version 2.1 expands the capabilities of the underlying ArchestrA technology of the plant information and automation platform. New features let application developers, system integrators, and IT professionals build powerful supervisory HMI, SCADA, and production and performance management systems. Multiple engineering productivity enhancements include a new user-defined object template, advanced alarm filtering capabilities, and an intuitive history-browsing environment. This version supports Japanese, Chinese, French, and German editions of Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and SQL Server database software, in addition to the English platforms. It also can manage groups of InTouch visualization modes, in development and run-time.
