Integration ease: Agilent certifies Averna as a system integrator

01/04/2007

Averna received certification as Agilent Technologies Channel Partner, for smoother integration of related technologies, including general-purpose instruments, test system components, data acquisition products, optical network test, wireless test products, and LXI-compliant products from Agilent. Certifications can benefit end-users in several ways.

Stringent certification requirements for Agilent Channel Partners are said to ensure that system integrators are recognized as established, meet quality benchmarks, and are deemed a leading integrator of Agilent products.

"To have been selected as a Channel Partner is an honor and great evidence of the trust Agilent has placed in Averna," says Pascal Pilon, president of Averna Technologies. He expects the agreement to complement established expertise and add value for customers. Both firms cultures, Pilon says, include "high standards of integrity and business ethics."

The agreement enables Averna to increase expertise on Agilent products and successfully deploy and install its systems with the quality equipment it requires. Sales forces will work together to address customers' electronic measurement and control needs. The companies will collaborate on joint marketing and sales programs. End-users should expect to see closer integration of complementary products, suggests Murray Bartlow, Channel Partner program manager, Agilent Technologies. Agilent says it's a premier measurement company in communications, electronics, life sciences, and chemical analysis, with 18,500 employees serving customers in more than 110 countries. Agilent had net revenue of $5.1 billion in fiscal year 2005.

Averna, a privately-held Canadian corporation founded in 1999, has more than 100 employees working on test solutions, design validation, and real-time and control automation. Its flagship product is the Proligent test platform for high-tech manufacturers, for optimization of all test processes for telecommunications, aerospace, automotive, ground transportation, and various industrial and manufacturing businesses.
