UniSim Design simulation is a family of software and engineering services designed to improve performance throughout the life cycle of a processing plant. Honeywell says it helps oil-and-gas processors, petroleum refiners, power generators, and chemical manufacturers more easily capture and share process knowledge, improve plant profitability, reduce engineering costs, and maximize return-on-investment.

Building on the Hysys intellectual property acquired from Aspen Technology, UniSim Design is said to be an intuitive and interactive process-modeling offering that enables engineers to create steady-state and dynamic models for plant design, performance monitoring, troubleshooting operational improvement, business planning, and asset management. Users are empowered to interactively make decisions by getting immediate responses to assumptions using a high-speed engine with backward calculation capabilities. Package allows the design and test of new processes offline and training of employees prior to implementing a process.
