Norwalk, CTInterphex 2006 pharmaceutical conference and exhibition is adding new pavilions to its upcoming show to address the increasing globalization of the biopharmaceutical industry and the expanding roles of contamination control and RFID. Corresponding educational opportunities will support the efforts. The show and conference are scheduled for March 21-23, 2006, at the Javits Convention Center in New York City.

Approximately 950 pharmaceutical and biotechnical companies from around the world are expected to showcase their latest equipment, technologies, and services in the areas of pharma manufacturing, pharma sourcing and services, pharma IT, and pharma facilities. In addition to the new pavilions, the event will include the first annual GenerationNext awards, spotlighting emerging pharmaceutical industry leaders. Five technical professionals will be recognized for achievement in technical, scientific, or regulatory areas of pharmaceutical manufacturing. Pharmaceutical industry professionals are invited to nominate candidates for this distinction until Jan. 31, 2006.

New this year is an international pavilion, designed to create a bridge to the industry’s best foreign resources and expertise. China and India will be spotlighted along with other international suppliers. Reflecting today’s growing concern about contamination control in manufacturing, Interphex will also focus on clean rooms, controlled environments, isolators, and cleaning and monitoring equipment in the contamination control pavilion.
