Piscataway, N.J.— Star Micronics America has entered the motion control industry with the introduction of its advanced line of SAMCOP. According to the company, this easy-to-use servo system offers maximum control and flexibility, because it can be treated like a standard PC peripheral device and improves the performance of motion control systems while also reducing costs. A major feature in SAMCOP is Termi-BUS, which offers unified control of mix-and-match brushless and/or stepping motors. PC intelligence is distributed in the amplifier, motor and the network as needed. The third series is designed for high speed and features a rated output between 200 and 1,500 W. The B series of brushless servo motors for closed-loop control systems. Absolute or incremental encoders are available for use with this series. Star Micronics America Inc.
