Hampton, N.H. -MTL Inc.'s SD Series include three new models that protect RTDs, 3-wire transmitters, and process networks such as Fieldbus and HART. The Series is a range of mechanically identical surge protection devices that safeguard instruments in most possible process applications. Clamping onto a DIN rail for firm mounting and sound ground protection, each 7 mm-wide device provides compact, hybrid protection for one 2- or 3-wire loop with an optional loop-disconnect facility for a replaceable fuse. All SD Series devices have nanosecond reaction times with surge ratings at 10 kA.
