Model WM-IIRO-8 wireless data acquisition device features 8 Form C (SPDT) electromechanical relays and 8 optically isolated digital inputs with change-of-state interrupt generation. Intelligent 8-bit parallel digital I/O unit communicates with an Acces wireless serial modem (sold separately) using a 900 MHz wireless connection. Up to 255 devices can be used with one modem connected to a host computer’s standard COM port using RS-232 or RS-485 serial communications. I/O unit and modem are packaged in small, rugged NEMA 4 enclosures. Suited for harsh atmospheric, industrial, and marine applications, the unit offers an economical alternative to more costly signal wire installations. Text-based command/response protocol permits communication with most computer systems. Unit operates at distances to 7 miles line-of-sight (up to 20 miles with optional antenna). www.accesio.com Acces I/O Products Inc.
