Chicago, IL - To help users spot check humidity measurements, Vaisala Inc . (Woburn, MA) introduced its HM70 handheld humidity and temperature meter on Oct. 21 at ISA 2002 at McCormick Place. HM70 supports field checking and calibration of Vaisala's fixed-humidity instruments, such as the HMT230 series humidity transmitters. HM70 also features Vaisala's Humicap technology, which the company reports is accurate, reliable, and stable in industrial humidity measurement settings.
Depending on the probe chosen, HM70 measures relative humidity from 0% to 100% and temperature between -70 C and 180 C. Probe options include a long, stainless steel probe, which ideal for checking in ducts. A small probe head with a five-meter cable is available for use in difficult-to-reach areas, and for on-site calibration of Vaisala's process transmitters. Two probes can be used concurrently, including Vaisala's dewpoint and carbon dioxide probes.
HM70 also has multilingual user interface and graphical LCD display with data logging capability. Optional Windows software provides an easy-to-use PC interface. An analog output is also available.
