Research Triangle Park, NC— Robert C. Renner has been named executive director of ISA —the Instrumentation, Systems and Automation Society. Lowell McCaw, ISA’s president, made the announcement following a special March 22 meeting of ISA’s board of directors. Renner is ex-pected to join ISA within 90 days.

“Rob’s leadership skills and understanding of what it takes to run a successful technical society made him a great choice for this position,” says McCaw. “We feel very confident in his ability to work with our leadership, customers and staff to enhance all aspects of our operations.”

Renner adds that, “I’ve known ISA for some 24 years, and have great respect for what the society has accomplished. ISA’s history and strength present many opportunities, and I’m looking forward to taking responsibility for moving the society forward.”
