Siemens

ISA announced Oct. 2 that it is nearing completion of a non-exclusive licensing agreement to distribute and market the
Control Systems Cyber Security Self Assessment Tool (CS2SAT)
through the
ISA Security Compliance Institute
. ISA says it is the first potential distributor of the CS2SAT application due to its respected position in the automation controls community and ability to reach more than 100,000 automation professionals from key organizations via their membership roster. The CS2SAT is a desktop software tool which guides users through a step-by-step process to collect facility specific control system information, then makes appropriate recommendations for improving the system’s cyber-security posture.
Siemens announced Oct. 2 that it joined the ISA Security Compliance Institute (ISCI). As a founding member of the ISCI, Siemens entered into a two-year commitment to provide funds and volunteer time to the institute. Additionally, Siemens will sit as a voting member on the governing board. The members of the institute will work together to develop a set of universal compliance requirements based on ISA99 and other standards. The requirements will help test and certify control systems and products, ultimately establishing an ISASecure designation. This designation will identify and promote security standards compliant products and systems.
