ISA Expo draws nearly 15,000, tops last year’s figures; plans underway for 2005

Last month’s event in Houston drew 14,569 automation and control professionals from more than 70 countries and included an exhibit with 562 companies showcasing the latest technologies, products, and services, reports the Instrumentation, Systems, and Automation Society.

ISA ’s most recent annual expo has been termed a success by its sponsors. Last month’s event in Houston drew 14,569 automation and control professionals from more than 70 countries and included an exhibit with 562 companies showcasing the latest technologies, products, and services, reports the Instrumentation, Systems, and Automation Society. The totals represent an overall increase of nearly 4% from 2003.

ISA Expo 2004 featured a comprehensive automation and control showcase, technical conferences, a continuing education and training program, and daily keynote presentations and special forums focused on such crucial issues as cyber security, outsourcing, and homeland security.

ISA Expo 2005 is scheduled for Oct. 25-27 at Chicago’s McCormick Place. In preparation for that event, ISA is seeking nominations for the Society’s annual honors and awards. Society service and technical award nominations must be made by January 31. Through its honors and awards programs, ISA recognizes professionals and practitioners of automation and control technology around the world. Those recognized will be honored Oct. 24 next year during ISA Expo 2005. Click here to for descriptions of awards and nomination forms and instructions .
