ISA Interest Group Factory/Discrete Automation to hold final planning meeting

The ISA Interest Group, Factory/Discrete Automation is ready to take their work to the next level: a study group to gather information leading to forging standards for wireless infrastructure in industrial applications. On March 21, 2008, the SP100 Integration Working Group approved the interest group's recommendation to for a study group. On Friday, March 26, 2008, the group will hold their final teleconference, in which they will plan the transition to a study group.

Burlington, MA — The ISA SP100 Integration Working Group approved the interest group's recommendation to for a study group. On Friday, March 26, 2008, the group will hold their final teleconference, in which they will plan the transition to a study group.
“This is effectively the last scheduled call for this interest group,” said Mark O'Hearne, vice-president of business development and marketing at Millennial Net , and the interest group’s leader. “The study group will determine it name, call time and frequency, so watch for announcements.”
Engineers and engineering managers interested in joining the study group should participate in this final interest-group telecon. Participants calling from U.S. and Canada should call 866-332-6857. Others should use 770-790-2259. The conference code is 9909227. “All participants of the interest groups will be transferred as initial contacts for the study group distributions,” O’Hearne says.
