ISA88 Part 1 markup: What will be removed from ISA88 Part 5 draft? April 22 call

Non-duplication: As ISA88 Part 1 work moves towards completion, it is time to decide what has been included in Part 1 and what can be removed from the Part 5 draft.

As the ISA88 Part 1 work moves towards completion, it is time to pick up the Part 5 draft and decide what has been included in Part 1 and what can be removed from Part 5. The “dS88-01Update20markupApr2010v2.doc” Part 1 document and the “ISA-88-05 WD05 Equipment Models-V04.doc” can be found here on the Make2Pack Blog for your review. Click the links above, review, and make some notes. (ISA is still in the process of rebuilding our list server for Part 5.)

Thanks, and I look forward to interesting discussions during our scheduled April 22, 09:00 AM EST call! (See prior posts for call-in instructions or contact me, below, with any comments or questions.)

Also see the following and leave any comments or suggestions using the comment function, below.
- 2010 calendar for ISA88 Make2Pack meetings;
- ISA88 Part 5: State Diagram as an example rather than a normative requirement;
- What exactly is the Automation Object that Make2Pack is trying to describe?

Get more exposure for your case study by uploading it to the Control Engineering case study database, where end-users can identify relevant solutions and explore what the experts are doing to effectively implement a variety of technology and productivity related projects.

These case studies provide examples of how knowledgeable solution providers have used technology, processes and people to create effective and successful implementations in real-world situations. Case studies can be completed by filling out a simple online form where you can outline the project title, abstract, and full story in 1500 words or less; upload photos, videos and a logo.
