KEB's Schneeberg'splant has doubled in size.

Barntrup, Germany - Electrical motor and drive manufacturer KEB announced it had recently expanded two of its facilities in Germany to create 15,200m2 of new production space and 3,000m2 of office space.

At its Barntrup headquarters, the expansion involves 6,200m2 of new production space, 1,500m2 of new office space and investment of 10.2 million euros in plant and machinery. The new facilities are now the new home for the design, sales and production of the company's electro-mechanical products. Formerly located elsewhere in Barntrup, the space released by this move has been occupied by the production line for the new F5 Combivert drive.

KEB's expansion of geared motor production at the Schneeberg site in eastern Germany involves the creation of 9,000m2 of production space, 1,500m2 of office space and 11 million euro investment in plant and machinery. KEB says it expanded the Schneeberg plant "in order to meet increasing demand for the popular Combigear range of geared motors."
