Laser distance sensor with dual discrete outputs and IO link
Banner Engineering's Q4X laser distance sensor features dual discrete outputs and IO-Link configuration to solve high/low monitoring fill level as well as monitor remote configuration, sensor backup and preventative maintenance.
Banner Engineering’s Q4X laser distance sensor features dual discrete outputs and IO-Link configuration. Dual discrete outputs are designed to help the Q4X solve high/low monitoring fill level; the IO-Link feature allows remote configuration, sensor backup and preventive maintenance. The Q4X dual channel sensor features include window size and offset control. It also features a totalizer to reduce programmable logic controller (PLC) programming for high-speed counting and pulse frequency modulation (PFM) output. Additionally, the IO-Link features point-to-point serial communication protocol, which allows remote accessibility to device and event data and precise digital data transmission. The Q4X can detect height changes as small as 0.5 mm and sense up to 300 mm, which allows it to solve distance-based applications regardless of target surface reflectivity including black foam on black plastic, black rubber in front of metal, multicolor packaging, and targets of all colors. The Q4X is constructed with robust housing rated to IP67, IP68 or IP69K, which allows it to be used in wet and high-pressure washdown environments, extreme vibration and aggressive cleaning procedures.
