The Fluke 830 Laser Shaft Alignment Tool is designed to deliver precise shaft condition measurements and actionable results that, along with vibration testing, infrared thermography, and other predictive maintenance measurements, enable plant maintenance teams to increase machine life and keep plants running at maximum efficiency.

The tool is designed to deliver a high level of precision and repeatability in evaluating shaft alignment by determining a machine’s dimensions, actively taking reading from three sectors as the laser is rotated around a shaft, and then providing actual correction numbers along with a four-level, color-coded severity scale on the machine’s alignment.

Its results screen shows both coupling results and feet corrections (vertical and horizontal) in real terms, which is designed to make corrective action easier for maintenance technicians.

Other features include single laser measurement technology, a guided user interface, and a dynamic machine tolerance check that provides continuous evaluation of adjustments so the user knows when the machine is in the acceptable alignment range.
