LCD panel computer for automation, monitoring applications

Compact panel computer from Arista Corp. features a 15-in. LCD and 4-wire resistive touchscreen.

ARP-2615AP low-power industrial 15-in. LCD panel computer from Arista Corp . is suited for factory automation, facility monitoring, machine automation, and environmental monitoring applications. Unit—reportedly designed to meet mission critical, high-performance demands—features small size, low-power consumption, and is wall-mountable.

Panel computer is equipped with a 3-5-in. embedded board which incorporates a VIA Eden 667 MHz processor. System memory consists of one 144-pin SO-DIMM socket with up to 512 MB memory capacity. LAN uses a Realtek 8139 C PCI PnP Base-T Ethernet controller. Video support features a built-in VGA controller with up to 32 MB of shared memory for display.

Unit comes with three RS-232 ports, a 4-wire resistive touchscreen, and optional PCMCIA for wireless applications. It has an on-board CompactFlash Type-1 socket, an optional 2.5-in. hard disk drive, and one 16-bit PC/104 extension connector. Prices start at $1,500. Click here to download a datasheet.
