Everyone wants the most bang for the buck; the highest return on investment; and the maximum impact for any effort. Doing that for customers inside and beyond our organizations requires understanding customer needs, in all interactions.
A former customer has joined Control Engineering as publisher, providing an insider's perspective to help our global team of experts optimize Control Engineering for you-and for your team of experts. Michelle Tegtman provides excellent perspective into the needs of readers.
Ms. Tegtman, formerly director of corporate communications at PTC (Needham, MA), a manufacturing software solutions company, also was with Intellution (Foxborough, MA), and Nematron (Ann Arbor, MI). Ms. Tegtman has worked extensively in the automotive, aerospace, electronic and consumer packaged goods industries in delivering the control engineer's message.
''In today's competitive marketplace maximizing every dollar invested, every minute spent, and every project undertaken is imperative to be productive,'' she says.
''We understand that you, our readers, are under severe resource constraints and are being asked to do more with less. That is why we will continue to improve delivery of the highest-quality and most-needed information to you, how and when you need it. I promise that your chosen information provider, Control Engineering, will help lead you through the quickly moving manufacturing environment. I'm excited to work with you in this role,'' she says.
Control Engineering offers more than a dozen distinct information offerings (see table), and has renewed its dedication to Control Engineering Europe , in cooperation with IML Group plc (Kent, U.K.), and Michael Babb, editor Control Engineering Europe. Both Control Engineering and Control Engineering Europe will, along with other Reed Business Information publications, feed resources into the globally respected Control Engineering Online , at www.controleng.com .
