ZS smart measurement sensor from Omron Electronics LLC combines two-dimensional CMOS imaging and precise laser measurement into a high-speed inspection system for automotive, electronic parts assembly, and semiconductor applications.

ZS smart measurement sensor from Omron Electronics LLC combines two-dimensional CMOS imaging with precise laser measurement to create a high-speed, high sensitivity inspection system. Sensor has 110-g.Modular plug-and-play components keep sensing heads and amplifiers separate and ease installation. Five sensor heads are available for distances ranging from 20-200 mm and measuring ranges frome rated IP67 to withstand washdown for measurements in harsh environments.Amplifiers have a two-line message display that supplement present value and set value displays. Stackable amplifiers support up to nine sensing heads for a scalable inspection solution. The sensor expands with a multi-controller unit for calculations, a data storage unit for data logging, and software for set-up and reporting.
