MES software supports Windows 2000

USDATA Corp. began shipping the second edition (SE) of its Xfactory version 1.4 manufacturing execution system (MES) software on June 6. Xfactory 1.4 uses Microsoft Windows 2000 functions and simplifies implementation and communication among varied systems.

USDATA states a benefit of using Microsoft standards is the openness it provides for integration of disparate systems. Xfactory 1.4 SE can integrate with systems that use these industry standards, allowing “plug-and-play” integration into other environments.
