Prague , Czech Republic – MESA International, the Manufacturing Enterprise Solutions Association, released of five new Strategic Initiatives Guidebooks and presented summaries of them to about 120 attendees at its 2008 European Plant-to-Enterprise Conference, held here Nov. 3-4, 2008.

Guidebook topics cover lean manufacturing, quality and regulatory compliance, product lifecycle management, the real-time enterprise, and asset performance management. The books are available with premium membership to the organization, which is an association of manufacturers/producers, solution providers and industry professionals focused on operations-centric enterprise solutions.

The Top Hotel in Prague was the host site. Attendees enjoyed the opportunity to network, and to listen to conference sessions featuring prominent users of Manufacturing Enterprise Systems (MESs), as well as analysts and industry experts discussing manufacturing business trends.

This second European Plant-to-Enterprise Conference represents the practical applied mission statement of MESA, which states that the industry association promotes the exchange of best-practices, strategies and innovation in managing manufacturing operations, manufacturing quality and in achieving plant-floor execution excellence.

Feedback from delegates was positive, with one attendee enthusiastically saying, “Finally—a conference on high level focusing at content and not at scoring orders. The excellent cooperation and openness of all parties involved has struck me. There was no competition whatsoever!”
