A line of metrology wells from Hart Scientific , a division of Fluke Corp ., provide calibration lab performance in a compact, easy-to-transport instrument suitable for laboratory and field environments. Four models—9170, 9171, 9172, and 9173—are designed for calibrating a wide variety of thermometers and temperature sensors.

The wells are said to have exceptional performance among seven components: stability touse in food, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, and other manufacturing settings and metrology labs.

Features include large LCDs, numeric keypads, and a menu-driven interface. Preprogrammed tasks, such as “ramp-and-soak” routines can be saved in the memory. A dedicated °C/°F button allows temperature unit switching.
