Migration solution for fire alarm systems

Siemens MXL systems can be upgraded to the current FireFinder XLS systems.

05/01/2012

Siemens Building Technologies Division has announced a migration solution that allows building owners to upgrade existing Siemens MXL systems to the newer technology in Siemens FireFinder XLS systems, thus preserving their original investment in peripheral devices. The MXL to FireFinder XLS Total Migration Solution is ideal for MXL system owners who want to take advantage of the advanced technology and features Siemens offers without the downtime and expense associated with a total system replacement. The MXL to FireFinder XLS Total Migration Solution increases ROI by reusing existing MXL system assets, including backboxes and wiring, together with a line card and a few other parts. The resulting upgraded system is compatible with the installed MXL devices and delivers the advanced features of the FireFinder XLS including an advanced microprocessor, digital voice (for voice systems) for clear undistorted messages, and UL-listed for background music and convenience paging (for voice systems).
