Advantech’s ECU-1871 is an Intel Atom D510 Energy Controller designed for power automation and renewable energy needs. It comes with 2 x LAN, 3 x COM, IRIG-B and is IEC-61850 compliant.

The ECU-1871 has two integrated I/O slots which can be used to add a range of optional cards, such as the ECU-P1706, a 250KS/s, 16-bit, simultaneous eight channel analog input card, which is used to monitor vibrations or the ECU-P1300, a vibration signal modulation card for monitoring vibrations. These come from the transformer and the gearbox of the wind power turbine. Lastly, the ECU-P1702 is a 10MS/s 12-bit simultaneous four channel analog input card used for monitoring the partial discharging of the transformer.

The ECU-1871 includes isolated IO ports, is fanless, has no internal cabling, and is protected against other damaging effects, such as electrical surges and EMI therefore, making it ideal for any harsh environment applications.
